Georgian oligarch and politician, who tries to regain Georgian citizenship to launch political activities in homeland, renounced his French citizenship today. Ivanishvili submitted his French passport to the embassy of France today.
Bidzina Ivanishvili gave up his Russian citizenship on December 26; however, few days ago the court rejected his appeal, in which he was demanding Georgian citizenship, of which he was revoked under the decree of the president of Georgia earlier.
Ivanishvili told journalists today that his French citizenship will be revoked after he will regain his Georgian citizenship.
