The number of the convicts, which will be released earlier then their terms expire, will be announced after the session of the Permanent Early Release Commission, which assembles today. The local councils of the commission of the Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance have already discussed applications of over 300 prisoners and the commission is expected to discuss several other cases at today`s session.
Deputy Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance, Giorgi Makasarashvili says the cases of women and minor convicts were also discussed.
At today`s session, the commission will also sum up its annual work.
