Eugenia Tymoshenko, daughter of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko says the administration of the Kachanivska women's prison in Kharkov did not allow her to meet with her mother on January 3.
"They're not letting me see my mother. Permission has to be given by the investigator but he's not answering his phone," Eugenia Tymoshenko told journalists outside the prison, as reported by www.ukrainedemocracy.com.
Eugenia Tymoshenko hopes to get permission in the coming days and will either stay in Kharkov or with relatives in Dnipropetrovsk in order to be closer to her mother.
According to lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko, they are preparing documents to admit Eugenia Tymoshenko as a defender in the case involving United Energy Systems of Ukraine, which would allow her to visit her mother in prison. "I think Eugenia may get to see Yulia Tymoshenko today or tomorrow," he said.
