As a result of archeological excavations, on the territory of 40 Martyrs' Church in Abanotubani in Tbilisi, a Roman bath of the second century, a wine cellar of the 2nd-3rd centuries and graves dated back to the 12th and 13th centuries were discovered.
Other items and gold coins have also been found. The archaeological excavations were held with support of the Tbilisi City Hall, Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection and under the auspices of Georgia's Patriarchate.
