Philip H. Gordon, US Assistant Secretary for Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs said the US would continue cooperation with Georgia in defense sphere.
During a meeting with foreign journalists, Gordon said the special focus would be made on Georgian soldiers' military training.
The US Assistant Secretary of State underlined that Georgia played an important role in peacekeeping operation in Afghanistan.
On the question whether the US would sell weapons to Georgia, Gordon said the US would make a corresponding decision according to the situation and based on other circumstances.
