Education Minister met with a second group of the teachers involved in the program Georgian Language for Future Success. The program started in September 2011, by the initiative of the President. The aim of the program is to improve the knowledge of Georgian language among the ethnic minorities living in Georgia.
160 teachers have been recruited to the program. These teachers have gone through two rounds of the contest: a written test and an interview. Before leaving for regions, the teachers passed the special trainings. While conducting Georgian language lessons, the program participants co-teach with local teachers of the Georgian language and assist the teachers of other subjects to deliver classes bilingually. Volunteer native Georgian speaker teachers will be working in all non-Georgian schools together with local pedagogues.
