The Chamber of Control of Georgia has published an official report about the financial resources, which the public movement Georgian Dream, founded by Georgian billionaire and politician Bidzina Ivanishvili, has received from November 1st by the end of 2011. The total amount of the funds transferred to the accounts of the movement, which unifies several political parties is 14,500 GEL. According to the report, 754 thousand GEL was spent on media activities of the movement.
According to the documents released by the Chamber of Control, the funds transferred to the accounts of the Georgian Dream Movement, was distributed as follows:
147,893 GEL - for advertisement videos in the air of the TV Company Kavkasia; live transmission - 30,000 GEL; ad video transmitting in the air of Maestro TV - 195,622 GEL; advertisement video transmitting in the air of Hereti Broadcasting Company - 83,261 GEL; audio advertisements in Radio Utsnobi - 31,400 GEL; TV Radio Company service - 10,000 GEL; advertisements in Chokhatauri Matsne newspaper - 54,150 GEL; political advertisements in Resonance ltd - 2,400 GEL.
The Chamber of Control has also published the amount of funds spent on the salaries of several political leaders. One of the leaders of the Republican Party of Georgia, Tinatin Khidasheli was paid 20,000 GEL in since November, Tedo Japaridze - 20,000 GEL, Giorgi Udzilauri - 18,000 GEL, Davit Zurabishvili - 10,000 GEL and Vladimer Sanikidze - 10,000 GEL.
When questioned what they were paid for such high salaries, Davit Zurabishvili said it was up to the person who employed them.
