Wife of Georgian business tycoon Bidzina Ivanishvili, who came to politics few months ago, intends to set up a political party. Ekaterina Khvedelidze`s lawyer said at the briefing today that Ivanishvili`s wife wants to be an MP and therefore intends to participate in future parliamentary elections.
This intention is the special circumstance on the basis of which Ivanishvili`s wife has applied for granting her the citizenship of Georgia. As reported, Khvedelidze has called on the court to fulfill its decision on restoration her citizenship as quickly as possible.
Ekaterina Khvedelidze is the second member of the Ivanishvili family, which has announced her intention to come to politics. Her husband Bidzina Ivanishvili is a leader of the Georgian Dream public movement.
