The meeting was held between the chairman of the Civil Movement "Georgian- Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetian House" Nestan Kirtadze and the representatives of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia, Mr. Aron Wangborg and Ms. Liselotte Ianstson.
At the meeting was considered the situation after the 2008 August war, and the problems of the populations of conflict regions as well.
During the meeting Nestan Kirtadze noted, that the peace initiative on the political level is very important, but it needs long period of time; But the peace initiatives on the level of Civil Movement is more important, because, in result of our good will and every day working it will solve the social-economic and humanitarian problems, that are disturbing the populations of conflict regions.
During the meeting with EU Monitors Nestan Kirtadze talked about the concrete projects, which will promote the process of restoration of confidence and collaboration between the populations of conflict regions. Nestan Kirtadze discussed the project of creating the trade centers on Enguri and in Niqozi. "It is difficult, but not impossible" - noted Nestan Kirtadze.
"We know that when there are two frontier posts on the one side and on the other side the border-guards of Russian federation, it is difficult but it is possible. We think that in case of negotiations and coordination, it is possible to open the Administrative Boundary Line on several places, in order, that people from the both sides can be relocating." - noted Nestan Kirtadze
About these concrete questions, Nestan Kirtadze on behalf of the "Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetiona House" is planning to address to the Heads of the delegations of the Geneva International Group also, to the representatives of the four side working group.
At the Meeting many questions, suggestions, and projects were discussed.
EU Monitors named the "Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetioan House" as important institution. "By the successive steps the "Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetian House" will become as Peace Forum". _ noted EU Monitors.
