The ceremony of mass baptizing of infants, the 21th of its kind, will take place on January 19, Epiphany, at Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral in Tbilisi.
Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II will baptize more than 500 infants. The patriarch already has 12 000 god-children.
The tradition was founded in 2008 and this year it will be a continuation to baptize every third or more newly born child of a married couple.
