"Russian Federation is not putting pressure over Minsk to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia," - Grigory Karasin, said today in interview with Russian media.
"In the question of recognition of the independence of new states Russian Federation is not making any influence over its partners in the international community."
We remind you that Belarus is not planning yet to review in Parliament the question of recognition of secessionists' independence. On October 2 Lukashenko, President of Belarus declared that it is Russia's fault that Belarus does not recognize Abkhazia and S. Ossetia till now. Likashenko as well said that EU and USA were informed that Belarus is going to recognize the independence of these republics.
"Some persons in Russian Federation wished to put pressure over us, or wished that we did not recognize these republics. The media talked about the reasons of not recognition of these republics, as if we did not received the 500 mn USD credit from Russian Federation. As if I should recognize these republics for this money. Everything started just at the time when we were going to recognize the independence of these republics. Because of this I said: "That is enough boys! Now such things will not happen. I said about this to both of them (Putin and Medvediev). You have had created such situation yourself, so now you have to wait. This is a very painful question, but I think we will make it clear, "- Lukashenko said.
