The leader of the Christian Democratic Movement of Georgia and the parliamentary minority, Giorgi Targamadze has hailed the meeting of the Georgian and U.S. Presidents held in Washington on January 30.
Giorgi Targamadze said Barack Obama not only reiterated but reinforced the U.S. support to Georgia/Minority leader says every issue discussed by the two presidents will facilitate progress of democratic processes in the country.
`The President of the United States not only reiterated, but reinforced the supporting attitude towards Georgia. It refers to Georgia`s security, defensibility growth, enhancement of trade relations and economic assistance and what is most important for us - transfer of power via democratic and free elections,` Targamadze said.
The minority leader held his last meeting in Washington with the U.S. Senator John McCain.
