Richard Holbrooke, US Special representative in Afghanistan and Pakistan said that his visit in not connected with Russian-Georgian relations. He declared this even before his arrival to Georgia, being in Kazakhstan. "I was in Kazakhstan for review of the question of Afghanistan, and then I will arrive to Georgia. I have to visit the Georgian battalion which is prepared for fight in Afghanistan. I am repeating once again, that my visit is not connected with Georgian-Russian relations. Here I will talk about very important contribution of Georgia in Afghanistan's international operations," - Holbrooke said.
We should note that being in Kazakhstan Holbrooke met with OSCE Kazakh Chairman Kanat Saudabaiev. The visit in Kazakhstan was the last one in his voyage in the Central Asia.
