Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin believes the political instability and disorder will be quite possible in Russia in case he does not win the presidential elections in the first round on March 4th, 2012. For the first time the Russian PM accepted the possibility of second round of elections at the meeting with the law faculty students held during his election campaign.
`I would not run in the election without the hope of victory. I understand and I hope you understand too that the second round means to continue the battle and therefore, political instability is quite possible. However, there is nothing dangerous for me, as I am prepared to run in the second round is it is necessary,` Putin said.
Another presidential candidate, billionaire Mikheil Prokhorov has different position - he believes that the second run-off will be very good for Russia because it will facilitate the formation of democratic system in the country.
While presidential candidates are making prognosis of the elections, European Union`s High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton has called upon the Russian Central Election Commission to revise its decision and register Gregory Yavlinski as the presidential candidate.
