It is heavily snowing in Georgia's capital Tbilisi during two days. The Municipality Cleaning Service is working in emergency regime in cleaning of the central roads.
Heavy snowfall created problems in Rustavi. Technical salt was being distributed during the whole night. The Patrol Police was regulating the movement. Traffic movement is open across Tbilisi-Rustavi highway for the time being.
The traffic movement is limited across Georgia highways due to unfavorable climate conditions.
Transportation is paralyzed at Jvari Pass because of possible avalanches. Also Traffic is banned for all kinds of vehicles at Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stefantsminda-Larsi highway. The transportation on Pasanauri-Gudauri is allowed with anti-sliding wheal chains. Traffic movement is possible at Kobi-Larsi section, to the direction of Tianeti and Dusheti.
Transportation is free at central highways. Road is open at Rikoti Pass (connecting east and west Georgia). Brigades of Georgia's Roads Department are mobilized in cleaning of the roads and working in 24-hour regime.
Georgian weather forecasters prognosticate that the weather conditions will further turn to the worse. It will be snowing in Tbilisi and regions of both east and west Georgia.
The air temperature will fall to -5degrees by Celsius scale in Tbilisi. The temperature East regions of Georgia will be -8C. Precipitation will reduce but frost will intensify especially at night.
