The situation in Tskhinvali region became tense, Ala Jioeva, the candidate of the so-called presidential elections of South Ossetia was hospitalized on Thursday, after law enforcers break into the headquarter of the party.
A doctor in the hospital said Jioeva suffered a hypertensive crisis and was presently in intensive care.
Russian tabloid Life News cited Dzhioyeva's colleagues as saying over the phone that she was beaten by armed masked people who burst into her headquarters.
As the Russian internet media reported spouse of Jioeva and her lawyer were arrested and headquarter has been raided.
According to another version spread by Russia media she was hospitalized during police questioning late on Thursday, is suspected of a 2011 coup attempt.
Jioeva was the apparent victor in the second round of South Ossetia's presidential election in November but the results were overturned. Jioeva , who believes she is the legitimate winner of the election, had planned to hold her own presidential inauguration on February 10.
