Former soviet dissident, writer Vladimir Bukovski arrived yesterday for one week visit. He will deliver lectures on Soviet Union and modern Russian politics in new economic school, I Chavchavadze University and in the Free University.
Moreover meetings are planned with executive and legislative bodies' representatives; Bukovski will visit as well the occupational museum. It is to be noted that on his arrival to Tbilisi he commented the Russian-Georgian relations and accused Russia in 2008 military provocation against Georgia.
"The fact that Russia was long before prepared for the military aggression was well known for all world. Russia warned the West about such intention even when the Kosovo independence was declared. However the West did not estimated at full length the aggressiveness of Moscow, and it should be said that its response is not appropriate till today, "- Vladimir Bukovski said.
Russian writer supposes that if Russia still does not fulfill its obligations, and the West still "did not react to this", then "for the West the Russian gas and oil and a good relations with Russia are more important."
Moreover Bukovski said that "Provocations will increase from Russian side as it needs a constant strain of situation with Georgia to show to USA and West its power." This is a geopolitical play of Kremlin - Bukovski said.
