The "New Maternity Center" may be deprived of license. The Medical Activities Regulation Agency of Georgia's Healthcare Ministry found out violation of sanitary norms during inspecting the clinic.
Agency has began probing into case of 26-year-old pregnant woman death and suicide attempt of the doctor.
Klara Meloryan, a doctor of the Clinic attempted to commit suicide after her patient, a pregnant woman Nino Martoyan, 26, had died. The pregnant woman was delivered to hospital on February 17 and was expected to give birth to a child later at night. But her health condition turned to the worse and doctors failed to save her life. The doctor jumped off a window from the second floor. He survived and is placed at Reanimation Unit.
