Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili received condolences over the death of three Georgian soldiers in Afghanistan from the government of the United States. Ambassador of the United States to Georgia John Bass and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste A. Wallander handed over the official letter to president today.
President Saakashvili thanked the U.S. government for the support and expressed his condolence to the families of the late soldiers once again.
The ambassador, US defense official and the president spoke about the enhancement of bilateral relations at today`s meeting.
