The attempt of the leaders of the anti-Putin movement Ros-Agit to distribute tents and posters to their supporters on Pushkin Square in Moscow failed, as the Moscow police detained them before they even took out the posters and the tents from the cars.
Three of them were detained by police. The car, which was loaded with tents and posters, has been evacuated from the area. But the Russian law enforcers did not prevent the supporters of the Prime Minister and the members of the movement Nasha Russia to assemble at the same place, where they appeared with flowers; arguably they had planned to organize provocations at the opposition rally.
Ros-Agit movement has been holding protest campaign online, calling on the supporters to join protests on the next day of president`s elections in Russia. Demonstrators have been already warned by the Moscow mayor. Sergey Sobianin said he would not accept to turn the Red Square of Moscow into a Meidan Square.
