Deputy chairperson of the foreign affairs committee of the Russian legislative government, Konstantin Kosachev commented on the unilateral abolition of visa regime by Georgia with Russia. Kosachev said the relations between the two countries need to be settled, however, this decision will not make radical change.
`Relations between Georgia and Russia are not normal of course; everybody wants to improve this situation and any efforts aiming at this should be welcomed. At the same time, it`s obvious that president Saakashvili`s decision can not make radical changes, because this decision aims at causing disagreement of official policy and the public view,` Kosachev said.
