Ninth Channel - the television owned by leader of the Georgian Dream opposition movement Bidzina Ivanishvili, has a new director. Lasha Shonia has been substituted by the former chief of the Maestro Television Kakha Bekauri. The new director fails to say the exact date when the television would begin broadcast. Bekauri said currently the management works to attract the staff of the TV and the further details about its operation would be released later.
`The structure of the television is being established currently; we are discussing the formation of a public council and we are holding negotiations with eligible candidates,` Kakha Bekauri announced at the briefing today.
