US President Barack Obama visited injured Georgian soldier, Vice-colonel Aleksandre Tughushi at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland on March 2, 2012. Tughushi was injured in Afghanistan, where Georgian battalion is serving within the ISAF mission.
American president talked to Georgian military serviceman, where his cousin, Aleksi Gogrichiani was also present. The visit was photographed by the photographer of White House Pete Souza.
Earlier, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili visited Aleksandre Tughushi at the hospital and awarded him with the Vakhtang Gorgasali First Prize.
