Georgia has a new minister of health and social care - Zurab Chiaberashvili has replaced Andria Urushadze. Prime Minister Nika Gilauri announced the decision at the session of the government today. Chiaberashvili is the sixth minister of health and social care since the Rose Revolution in 2003.
Prime Minister said Andria Urushadze would be appointed the deputy mayor of Tbilisi, where he will manage health and social issues. As for Chiaberashvili, his main task will be to implement social reforms.
Gilauri hailed the managing skills of the new minister, asserting he would succeed to intensify and accomplish the reforms that are underway in the health care and social sector in Georgia.
In addition, Prime Minister thanked former minister of health Andria Urushadze and his team for effective work hoping his work in municipal government would be as effective as before.
New Minister has pledged to do his best to improve health care system and make it more available for Georgian society.
