Georgian parliament objects to the appointment of the Krasnodar province governor as the special representative of the Russian president to occupied Abkhazia. Medvedev signed a decree on appointing Aleksandr Tkachov on the position a few days ago.
Georgian lawmakers say that the corresponding decree of the president of Russia Dmitri Medvedev official equals to merging of the occupied territory into the Russian Federation. Georgian side is now expecting for adequate response from the international community.
In addition, parliamentary committees of sports and foreign relations are preparing a special address to international organizations demanding adequate response on Russia`s decision.
