The Georgian lawmakers today will adopts a statement regarding appointment of Aleksander Tkachov, Governor of Krasnodar region as Russian Presidential Envoy in Georgia's one of two occupied regions of Abkhazia.
MPs believe that the decision is unprecedented since the local puppet regime will now have a direct representative from Russia to rule Abkhazia.
Davit Bakradze, Parliamentary Speaker of Georgia has instructed Foreign Relations and Sports and Youth Affairs Parliamentary Committees to work out a joint statement regarding the matter.
Grigol Vashadze, Georgia's Minister of Foreign Affairs also commented regarding the same issue. He said the appointment was another confirmation of continuous aggression against Georgia.
