A ten year-old boy was assaulted this morning arguably, by a middle-aged man. Eyewitnesses say the boy and two his peers were walking through the square near the school Pesvebi, where a middle-aged man stopped and urged them to open their bags to check what they had in them. Two boys escaped but the man cut his throat with a knife before he could run away.
The injured boy entered the nearby office of the Telasi power distribution company, where he was provided first aid; the company staffed called for the medical emergency, which transferred the injured boy to hospital.
Doctors say despite the graveness of the injury, the boy`s health state is satisfactory after treatment.
Police are searching for about a 40 year-old man, who was dressed in denims, white trainers and a dark coat with hood.
