Georgian national, who was detained in Syria, has been freed. According to the consulate of Georgia, he has already crossed the Syria-Turkey border and is in Georgia for the time being.
The information about the identity of that person has not been released yet. Georgian embassy authorities in the country define that his detention was not tied with political processes in the country, but with the violation of visa procedures.
Georgian side were intensively involved in the proceedings and reached an agreement with the Syrian judiciary that he would be freed but he would have to leave the country.
