Foreign Relations Committee of the parliament of Georgia begins to work on a special address which will be later sent to international organizations. In the address, Georgia will express its readiness to join the restoration works of Georgian church-monasteries in occupied Abkhazia.
Georgia will also call on the international organizations to take responsibility on monitoring the process of restoration.
The lawmakers decided to send a special address to international organizations after the leader of the Abkhazian puppet regime ordered relevant offices to prepare recommendations for the restoration works of historic monuments in Abkhazia. Georgia expressed its concern regarding the decision, asserting the plan aims at erasing Georgian traces and the original faces of the churches and monasteries.
