Press speaker for the president, Manana Manjgaladze spoke about the significance of the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit and summed up the implementation of president`s two new initiatives at the briefing today.
Manjgaladze said the summit was very important for Georgia, because of the country`s substantive commitment to global security and stability reinforcement.
President`s press speaker also commented on the so-called presidential elections in the occupied Tskhinvali Region assessing them as `illegitimate`.
As for the implementation of the two new programs launched under the initiative of the president, Manjgaladze said they were being implemented very successfully.
`Two new initiatives were launched last week. This is the process of issuing 1000 GEL vouchers for funding professional education courses for the applicants and the process is still underway. According to the latest data, 2000 applicants have been registered since March20th. The government tries to provide professional training courses for interested persons in order to help them get professional education and be employed afterwards,` Manjgaladze said.
She also commented on the student`s summer employment program. She said 24,986 out of 25,000 vacancies have been already occupied. 600 students will for private companies for one month in summer and the rest will be employed in the official structures.
