The Georgian parliament approved the Law on Drugs and Psychotropic medicines through the first hearing.
The changes envisage precision in drugs' lists and dozes. Persons using small doses of heroin and methadone will not be arrested but will have to pay fines.
The money will be used for carrying out medication and rehabilitation programs. The PMs will adopt the law during the forthcoming plenary sitting.
