Honey found in the Borjomi district may be turned out to be the most ancient in the world.
The German archaeologists discovered a ceramic pottery with honey at the foot of Kodiani Mountain in 2003.
The item dates back to 3700 BC. The specialists found a tomb, dated back to middle of the 3rd millennium BC, where they discovered two human teeth and pottery.
The items were subjected to expertise and was concluded that honey was inside the pottery. The honey was found only in the Tutankhamen tomb before.
The specialists say that this honey may be turned out to be the most ancient in the world.
