Shareholders of Ekho Moskvi suspended authority of the executive board of the radio station. Newsru informs that one of the shareholders of the radio station, Deputy Editor-in-chief Vladimir Bartlomeev posted it on his twitter page.
There are new members of the executive boards, though Editor-in-chief Aleksey Venediktov, Bertlomeev, Yasin and Makovsky are not there.
"None of the journalists of the radio station will be on the new board. I'm disappointed by these events, but this can't be a reason for journalist to hoist a white flag. Don't be panic stricken; we're not removed from the air. I don't intend to leave yet", Bertlomeev reports.
Information about breakup of the executive board of Ekho Moskvi was spread in mid February. The chief shareholder of the media holding Gazprom-Media, owner of 66% of share, demanded immediate suspension of the authority of executive board and change the independent directors with their candidates.
Members of the new executive board are: Director General of Ekho Moskvi Yuri Fedutinov, head of "Sviazinvest" Vladimir Semionov, who studied with Dmitry Medvedev, and ruler partner of the Rights regulation centre Evgeny Trubin.
Director General of Gazprom-media Nikolay Senkevich, his assistant Igor Giohberg, head of the legal department Yan Piskunov, deputy Director General in financial-economic issues Elena Kaptur, chairman of executive board of NTV Plus Dmitry Samohin and lawyer Aleksandr Berezin are also on the board.
Representatives of the radio station say that after State Duma Elections, pressure is being exerted on Ekho Moskvi due to its opposition character.
