Finland's Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja arrived in Georgia with an official visit earlier today.
According to Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze, the minister will hold official meetings with Georgia's Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and the Reintegration Minister Eka Tkeshelashvili.
Meetings are also scheduled with the Vice Speaker of the Parliament, EUMM representatives and leaders of political parties.
‘It is especially welcoming that the visit is coinciding with the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Georgia and Finland.
Finland was one of the states, which established diplomatic relations with Georgia in 1992', Kalandaze said.
Finland's Foreign Minister is paying a visit to Georgia for already the second time.
