Bidzina Ivanishvili will not appeal to the President for dual citizenship, Maia Fanjikidze, a spokesperson of Georgian Dream movement, said at a regular briefing.
"Bidzina Ivanishvili was deprived of citizenship by the President. He is not going to ask him for citizenship again. We think it will be illogical," Fanjikidze said. According to her, this step will be hypocrisy and attempt to avoid responsibility from the president's side.
The Civil Registration Agency of Justice Ministry refused to grant Georgian citizenship to Bidzina Ivanishvili through naturalization. The Registry said in its report that Ivanishvili should apply for dual citizenship.
