The meeting of the group working on Incidents Prevention and Reaction Mechanisms will be held in Gali (Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone that is mainly inhabited by ethnic Georgians) today.
The Georgian delegation is headed by Shota Utiashvili, Head of Analytical Department of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). The Georgian side will raise issues of violation of human rights of ethnic Georgians residing in the occupied region and limitations of free transportation.
The meetings on Incidents Prevention and Reaction Mechanisms are organized in the framework of the internationally mediated Geneva format of negotiations with participation of Georgian, Russian and Separatist sides as well as representatives of the European Union and United Nations.
