Davit Bakradze, Georgia's Parliamentary Speaker continues meetings with the population. Bakradze arrived in Khoni, a town in western Georgian region of Imereti this afternoon and met with locals at regional center.
Bakradze introduced locals with those projects, the implementation of which are planned for this year in the region.
Construction of a 6-kilometer-long natural gas pipe is already launched and will have been completed by the end of the year. Gasification of villages will begin starting 2013.
Locals inquired about social and health programs as well as about education and employment perspectives.
Bakradze prior to that arrived in Matkhoji village where he inspected ongoing works at Tskhenistskali River that will ensure supply of irrigation water to villages of Samtredia district.
A total of 171 million GEL is allocated for the ongoing works, which are expected to have been finished by June.
