The Georgian government proposes a new initiative regarding promotion of Olympic Games. A corresponding law will be approved in the parliament sometime this week.
According to the law, an investor, who will sign an agreement with the Georgian government about building of the so-called "Olympic Village," will be freed from VAT during 10 years. He/she will neither have to pay import tax for heavy equipment and hotel facilities.
