Various rehabilitation works to eliminate the damage inflicted to Rustavi town as a result the flood which hit the city yesterday, are ongoing. The rain flooded the sentral streets of the town.
Road cleaning works continues in non-stop regime. All roads are opened for the time being.
Waters have flooded the basements and ground floors of the buildings. The roofs are damages as well. The Rescue Service representatives are mobilized at site and working intensively to help the locals.
Heavy rain storm and hail have inflicted serious damage onto the Gurjaani town and its villages ejini, Jimiti and Kachreti late last night. The river Navtiskhevi has flooded the central part of the town.
The disaster has damaged a bridge connecting Kachreti and Jimiti with one another. The yards, basements and the ground floors of the houses are flooded. Rescuers and locals were trying to pump the water from their houses whole night.
Strong wind has also damaged electricity lines leaving part of the Gurjaani subscribers disconnected from the network. The municipal government is counting the damage.
