Foreign and Georgian visitors, as well as church servicemen will face no obstructions during traveling to Davit Gareji monastery complex, situated along Georgia-Azerbaijan`s border. Head of the Analytical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia Shota Utiashvili said the government of Georgia was also taking responsibility that visitors will not travel beyond the monastery territory in Azerbaijan. The agreement on travel regulations towards the Davit Gareji monastery, which has become the issue of political speculations recently, was reached between Georgian border police Chief Zaza Gugava and his Azeri counterpart.
The negotiations were held under the instructions by Georgian and Azerbaijan`s president, who met in Chicago on Sunday and discussed the controversy on Davit Garji monastery.
