Updated list of voters includes 3,580,447 citizens eligible to vote in the May 30 local elections with almost third of them in the capital Tbilisi, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
The updated list includes 6,978 less voters then the initial list released in February.
The figure is preliminary, CEC said, which may slightly change as the commission reviews reports submitted by the political parties on results of re-checking of the voters list.
According to CEC there are 994,927 voters in Tbilisi, or up to 27,8% of total number of registered voters. According to the state statistics office, Geostat, Tbilisi has population of 1.13 million.
Number of registered voters was 3,372,836 during the January, 2008 presidential elections with 941,400 of them in Tbilisi.
Four months later, during the May 21, 2008 parliamentary elections the figure stood at 3,472,876, including 946,886 in the capital city
