Leader of the Civil Movement "Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetian House", professor Nestan Kirtadze held meetings with the official representatives of foreign ministries of Germany and the EU, Mr. Pelle Enarsson - responsible for Georgia Political Desk at the European External Action Service (EEAS; and Mr. Lenk - Deputy Head of the South Caucasus and Central Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affair of Germany.
"We lack unique initiatives from civil society in the region of South Caucasus. Georgian-Ossetian and Georgian-Abkhazian House has potential to become this special uniting platform for development peace and integration in the region." - noted Mr. Enarsson, and offered to Prof. Kirtadze an opportunity to become a part of Eastern Partnership civil society mechanisms.
"Georgian-Abkhazian and Ossetian House"as a peace institution will be a connecting bridge between Europe and Abkhazia, and Europe and South Ossetia. We don't mean questions, of political status. It is very difficult, but we are obliged to restore confidence and cooperation between people."- noted Nestan Kirtadze at the meeting at the foreign ministry of Germany.
Meeting with the Regional Director for Ukraine, Belarus, South Caucasus and Central Asia of the Ost-Ausschuss, Mr. Dr. Hoffmann was ended with concrete results. At the meeting Kirtadze made request to the influential German party to promote implementation of business development, free trade relations, transportation, free relocation, and healthcare programs in frames of partnership. It will promote restoration of relations between Georgian, Abkhazian and Ossetian people, and peace processes in the region. The sides reached the agreement to continue cooperation, and "Georgian-Abkhazian and Ossetian House" to make mediation to visits to South Ossetia and Abkhazia by the German businessmen to explore investment potential of those regions, mentoring programs for young entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs.
Nestan Kirtadze finished her European visit and returned to Georgia.The results of the visit she is planning to report to diplomatic corp., ambassador, and International Organizations.
