The Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress adopted a resolution on Georgian issue. The document says that the US supports enhancement of relations between Georgia and US in an aim to increase security and restore Georgia's territorial integrity through peaceful means.
The US Congressmen once again called on Russia to fulfill its internationally taken commitments, allow IDPs to return to their homes and let international monitors into the occupied regions.
The document reiterates support to Georgia's territorial integrity and its aspiration to become a NATO member.
Georgian lawmakers and Temur Iakobashvili, Georgia's Ambassador to US evaluate the document as yet another support expressed by the US towards Georgia.
