The officers of General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained the employee of Telavi Police station, Inspector-investigator, Senior Lieutenant; - Giorgi Pepinashvili on the fact of bribery. The detainee has accepted bribe for the amount of 500 GEL from the assistant to the lawyer for operative information required to complete the plea-bargain agreement.
The detained police officer has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is conducted by General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the acting legislation the committed crime envisages the term of imprisonment from 6 to 9years.
