International community mourns President Lech Kaczynski. The EU is marking a day of mourning on 12 April with regard to the death of the Polish President Lech Kaczynski and government members.

A plane carrying Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife crashed near Smolensk airport in western Russia, killing 96 people on April 10. The reasons of the catastrophe are unknown yet.
