The Israeli emigration department will discuss the applications of 45 Georgian citizens, who ask for asylum in Israel. Georgian envoy in Israel Irakli Advadze will meet the emigrants and learn the problems for which they have discussed to flee to another country.
Georgian Foreign Ministry will also voice official position regarding the issue.
In accordance with the local legislation, the Israeli emigration police have let the 45 Georgian citizens to stay in the country for three-month before their applications are discussed.
45 Georgians arrived in Israel for Pilgrimage on Easter and applied to the local authorities for political asylum.
