The Head Coach of Georgian National Freestyle Wrestling Team Zaza Turmanidze named the wrestlers who will participate in European Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan on April 13-14.
The team consists of Georgian championship golden medalists. They had last sparrings on April 6 at Dusheti Olympic Base. The Olympic medalist, Otar Tushishvili took part in the camp too, though it was not clear if he would participate or not, because of the injury he had.
Zaza Turmanidze said that it is decided now, that Tushishvili goes to Azerbaijan with the rest of the team which are: Vladimer Khinchegashvili (55 kg), Malkhaz Zarkua (60 kg), Otar Tushishvili (66 kg), Gela Sagirashvili (74 kg), Archil Kitiashvili (84 kg), Giorgi Gogshelidze (96 kg) and Davit Modzmanashvili (120 kg).
European Championship in Baku will last from April 13 to 18, but freestylers tournament will compete on April 13 and 14. 15 and 16 will be women days and Greco-Romans will occupy arena on 17 and 18.
