Election bulletins will be printed in languages of national minorities living in Georgia. Georgia's Public Defender Giorgi Tughushi and members of the National Minority Board of the Ombudsman's Office met with Zurab Kharatishvili, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) earlier today.
Issues on participation of representatives of the national minorities in the forthcoming local self-governance elections scheduled for May 30, translation of election materials and full involvement of the national minorities in the elections were discussed during the meeting. Representatives of various national minorities also took part in the meeting.
The National Minority Board of the Ombudsman's Office operates with support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the European Center for Minority Issues.
