(AzerTAc). The Azerbaijani experts attend the 28th meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) in Istanbul.
A wide range of issues including a ten-year plan of actions of the Standing Committee, exhibitions organized in the Islamic countries, reports on commodity turnover among the OIC member states, Standards and Metrology Institute for the Islamic Countries and Islamic Chamber of Commerce will be discussed at the meeting.
The resolutions to be adopted at the meeting will be submitted to the meeting of OIC ministers of economy in Istanbul on October 10.
The participants of the COMEC`s 28th meeting will participate in International Business Forum on October 11 with participation of Turkish Prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) is one of the four Standing Committees which the OIC has formed to advance issues of critical importance to the Organization and its Member States. COMCEC follows up the implementation of resolutions in the economic and trade fields, explores possible means of strengthening cooperation among the Member States, and prepares programmes and proposals capable of improving capacities in these areas. COMCEC is chaired by the President of Turkey.
