State Minister for the Issues of Diaspora, Papuna Davitaia alleges that the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has drafted a new strategic plan against Georgia.
`Putin has worked out a new strategic plan against Georgia, which he intends to implement with the hands of Georgian Diaspora in Russia. Putin uses Aleksandre Ebralidze, a businessman of criminal past, for his goals and wants to make the rest of the world see, that Diasporas are the opponents of Georgian government. Ebralidze has invited representatives of Georgian Diasporas from various countries to the so-called World Forum of Georgian Diasporas` on April 23-24,` Papuna Davitaia announced at the briefing held at the government`s chancellery today.
He said Russian government had allocated serious funds for sponsoring the visit of Georgian Diasporas in various countries to Moscow.
`Russia wants to demonstrate that Georgian people assemble and consolidate in Russia, but it is not so - because the place of consolidation of Georgian people is Georgia. The real assembly of Diasporas will be held on may 26-27 in Tbilisi, when we shall mark the day of Diasporas,` Davitaia said.
